VOLUNTEER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By registering as a volunteer through this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
1. Accuracy of Information
Volunteers must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration. Providing false or misleading information may result in rejection or termination of volunteer registration.
2. Voluntary Participation
Volunteering is voluntary and does not constitute employment or guarantee paid work, compensation, or future employment. Any reimbursements or other benefits must be agreed upon separately by the organisation.
3. Code of Conduct
Volunteers are expected to act professionally, respectfully, honestly, and responsibly at all times. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, violence, or any form of misconduct will not be tolerated.
4. Commitment and Responsibilities
Volunteers are expected to fulfil their agreed duties, attend scheduled activities where possible, communicate any absence in advance, and follow reasonable instructions from authorised coordinators.
5. Confidentiality and Data Protection
Volunteers must respect the privacy of the organisation, fellow volunteers, beneficiaries, and other participants. Confidential information must not be disclosed or misused. Personal information collected during registration will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the organisation’s privacy policy.
6. Use of Organisational Resources
Any equipment, materials, identification, documents, or other resources provided to volunteers must be used responsibly and returned when requested.
7. Health, Safety, and Risk Awareness
Volunteers must follow applicable safety guidelines and promptly report hazards, accidents, or incidents. Volunteers should disclose any relevant safety limitations where necessary to ensure appropriate arrangements for their assigned duties.
8. Photography and Publicity
Photographs, videos, or other media featuring volunteers may only be used for publicity or promotional purposes in accordance with the organisation’s applicable consent procedures and privacy policy.
9. Termination of Volunteer Participation
The organisation reserves the right to suspend or terminate a volunteer’s participation where there is misconduct, a breach of these terms, failure to meet agreed responsibilities, or other legitimate operational reasons. Volunteers may also withdraw from the programme by notifying the relevant coordinator.
10. No Guarantee of Assignment
Registration does not guarantee acceptance into the volunteer programme, assignment to a particular activity, or participation in every event. Placement will depend on the organisation’s requirements and the suitability of the applicant.
11. Amendments to These Terms
The organisation may update these terms when necessary. Material changes will be communicated appropriately, and any required renewed acceptance will be obtained before the revised terms apply to continued participation.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By checking the acceptance box and submitting the registration form, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Volunteer Terms and Conditions and understand the responsibilities associated with volunteering.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering and contributing your time, skills, and commitment to our mission.
